Discover Lay & Wheeler
From 1854 onwards, we have been building relationships with wine lovers and wine makers. We sell wines by the single bottle and by the case: from France’s historic châteaux, to South Africa’s most dynamic producers, and everything in between.
Here you'll find everything you need to know to start your fine wine journey - from our 'Guide to Fine Wine' videos, and recommendations from the team on what they're drinking right now, to everything you need to know about our membership club Cellar Circle.
So whether you're looking to start your very own cellar full of rare gems, or just some delicious bottles to enjoy around the table with family and friends, our expert and enthusiastic team will give you as much (or as little) guidance as you want.
Introducing Cellar Circle
We’ve been helping people enjoy fine wine since 1854. But we knew there must be an even better way to build a world-class cellar. So we introduced Cellar Circle.
Cellar Circle is the best way to build a wine portfolio with us. Members work with our Fine Wine Advisors to buy fine wine, whether for investment (no capital gains tax!) or for current and future enjoyment. We can provide solutions for storage, and a wide range of options for selling your portfolio, or we can simply help you choose from our range of incredible wines for your next dinner party.
In turn, our members receive special benefits - from exclusive allocations of highly sought-after wines, to money-can't-buy experiences.
