Jura Fine Wine
Over the last 20 years, the wines of the Jura have gone from an idiosyncratic curio to being hugely fashionable, all while spanning a dizzying array of styles. An hour east of Burgundy towards the Swiss border, the Jura presents an intriguing proposition for adventurous wine lovers. Its whites range from the traditional oxidative ‘vin jaune’, aged under a veil of yeast, to the more contemporary ‘ouillé’ style that accentuates bright fruit and floral flavours, while the region’s sparkling and red wines are also well worth exploring.
