Sparkling Wine
For most people, sparkling wine has traditionally meant Champagne: the grandes marques of Bollinger, Taittinger, Moët & Chandon et al crafting fizz from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier in their protected enclave just south of Paris. More recently other sparklers have got in on the act, whether that’s Prosecco and its fruity, easy-drinking style, or English sparkling wines, which are closer to their Champenois counterparts in character, but with a racy English bite.
