2009 Château Rauzan-Gassies, Cru Classé Margaux
Similar to the Rauzan-Ségla in profile, but perhaps a little more backward and brooding. There is a lot of fruit on the broad, rich palate. The tannins are evident, but supple and the structure is definitely there. The tremendous core of fruit gives a lovely sense of concentration and it finishes with a vibrant, rich note. This will need time to realise its full potential.
