2011 Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Cru Classé Pauillac
This Pauillac aristocrat shows off its breed with a beautifully pure nose of cassis liqueur with hints of tobacco leaf and graphite. The palate is endowed with excellent depth of fruit, plenty of very fine-grained tannins and a long finish of kirsch and freshly crushed berries. The finish is intense and very persistent. This is an excellent effort from the team at Pichon-Lalande.
