Daniel and Valerie Alibrand started Domaine de l’Alliance in 2005, buying vines from Valerie’s side of the family in the village of Fargues in Sauternes. The Definition cuvee is their dry white from Sauternes and is half Sauvignon Blanc and half Sémillon. The 2020 is pure on the nose with juicy lemon and peach. Acidity is fresh and there’s a distinct mineral, saline finish.
