A monopole of Michel Gros, this vineyard is located to the left
as you arrive in the commune from Nuits. Huge depth of
colour, more cassis like. The nose is exotic and ripe but the
palate is simply explosive and dominated by black fruits, spice
and a touch of exoticism. This is a tour de force of Vosne-
Romanée, a cuvée with great balance and breed. Very pure but
so focused and intense, elegant even. Complexity squared and
a Grand Cru in all but name. There can be little doubt that
Vosne is the greatest commune in the Côte, especially if you
use the wines of Michel Gros as your yardstick.
