This wine has an enthralling depth of plum and berry fruit, with a minty lift on the nose, and just a hint of licorice adding a further dimension. The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Allots comes from just under a hectare of vines bordering Les Chaignots. It has slightly darker fruit on the nose than the Hauts Pruliers; this feels very cohesive. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and quite structured with a strict, slightly grippy finish. It should just round out before bottling.
