The 2013 Viña Tondonia Rioja Reserva is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha and 5% of Graciano and Mazuelo and aged in old American oak for six years before bottling. From a cooler vintage this has a beautifully classical, athletic profile. The nose delivers aromas of truffle, porcini, some dried dill and a sanguine note. This is a vibrant and fine boned wine with red berry fruits, brick dust and some subtle spiced notes on the long finish.
