Guido is a star in the ascendancy, but thankfully his feet are firmly planted on the ground and his wines represent incredible value for money. Santa Caterina is the more feminine of the two crus, which are literally outside his (south facing) front door. Floral, sappy and traditional on the nose, there are beautifully judged Serralunga tannins here. Very long and capable of great complexity with some bottle age.
