2021 Akitu 'A1' Pinot Noir, Central Otago
One of our favourite Central Otago Pinot Noirs, from a small property in a great vintage. It's a powerful style of Pinot, with a dense, spicy core. Fresh yet ripe, black cherry and plum create a juicy mid-palate with a pleasing herbal note and some use of whole bunches creates lift and brightness. Pure, textural and fine, with great tension and structure. One to drink after a few more years in bottle.
