2022 Estate Chardonnay, Kumeu River, Kumeu
This has all the classic signatures of Kumeu Estate Chardonnay, with white peach flavours, toasted hazlenut and citrus zest. It's broad, supple and creamy this year, intense but very approachable at this early stage compared to the previous vintage. 20% new oak gives more toasty notes as the palate continues, and, with its depth and energetic acidity, will age beautifully for at least a decade.
