Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe
With 70 hectares under vine, Vieux Télégraphe is one of the largest estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It has also, over the last century, established itself as one of the Rhône’s greatest. The wines coming from the famous ‘Plateau de la Crau’ exemplify the generosity and complexity of top Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the famous galet stones covering the vineyards as far as the eye can see. This is real Grenache country – and it has been expertly managed by the Brunier family since 1891, with brothers Daniel and Frédéric Brunier at the helm since the early 1980s and now in the process of handing over to the next generation. In addition to their sought-after Châteauneuf-du-Papes, the Bruniers have, since 1998, also owned what is widely regarded as the finest estate in Gigondas – Domaine les Pallières.
