Weingut Markus Molitor

Markus Molitor took over his eponymous family winery in 1984, the eighth generation to continue their tradition. With the beautiful town of Bernkastel in the backdrop, they have fifteen steep sites along the Mosel River devoted mostly to Riesling, which is very much their raison d’etre. At Weingut Molitor, Markus practices traditional winemaking: they rely on ambient yeasts for fermentation, and mature the wines in large old oak casks. These are wines of the very highest order.
