Surprisingly, given their access to great terroir, this estate was only founded in 1972 by Patriarch Aldo. Named after his father Giuseppe Domenico who planted most of the family’s vines, the property sits at one of the highest points in Piedmont, so the grapes ripen later than anywhere else in the region. When these slow-ripening grapes are pressed, it gives their wines a unique, fresh and elegant style. They’re Barolos for Burgundy lovers.
