Dolcetto
Dark-skinned Dolcetto from Piedmont usually offers round, early-drinking pleasure, and with many delicious examples coming from Piedmont’s top producers it is the perfect cellar staple. Whilst lower in acid that Piedmont’s two other key grape varieties, Nebbiolo and Barbera, Dolcetto still maintains more than enough to stand up to Italian food: this is the perfect pizza wine!
