Champagne Producers
The ‘grandes marques’ of Champagne are some of the most famous names in all of wine. Houses such as Bollinger, Taittinger, Ruinart and Roederer are steeped in heritage and prestige, while the likes of Krug and Dom Pérignon are prestige cuvées that transcend the world of fine wine. In recent years, so-called ‘Grower Champagnes’ have risen to prominence – bottlings made by smaller producers from their own vineyards, rather than relying on purchased grapes – with the likes of Egly-Ouriet and Jacques Lassaigne gaining a devoted following in double-quick time.
