French Wine Producers
The most famous wine producers of France are legends of the fine-wine firmament. From the grand châteaux of Bordeaux to the grandes marques of Champagne, these are undisputed stars in the eyes of wine lovers the world over – Latour and Lafite, Margaux and Mouton, Taittinger and Bollinger, Krug and Cristal. In Burgundy, famous domaines such as Lafon and Leflaive are often modest in size, but no less reputed as a result. And it’s not just in the very upper echelons of wine that such historic labels are to be found. Household names of the wine world are seen right across France, often via sizeable producers as Faiveley and Bouchard in Burgundy, and Chapoutier and Guigal in the Rhône.
